    vnetcafe icon on the desktop

To proceed you will need to have downloaded or obtained a copy of vnetcafe.exe and have placed it on your PC. (To find out how to do this go to How do I get started).

If you already have done the above and want to :-
    • Set up Peer-to-Peer the follow this link Set up Peer-to-Peer
    • Set up IP based Peer-to-Peer the follow this link Set up IP based Peer-to-Peer

    • Locate the icon (circled in red in the image) which should be on your desktop.
    • Double click it.
    • A new small window should pop up and display status progress messages.
    • YASAMM will now attempt to contact the web site to check if any newer versions are available.

Step 2. If a program update is available

    vnetcafe update available window

If an update is available then this window will appear. You may choose to download the update, ignore it and use your current version or exit the YASAMM.

    • The title bar will display the current version.
    • The body will display the message and the latest available software version number.

Step 2a. If a program update is being downloaded.

    vnetcafe update in progress window

If an update is accepted and downloaded then this progress window will be shown. The YASAMM may be aborted at anytime by pressing the "Exit" at any time during the download.

If the download succeeds then ..
    • The YASAMM will save the update in a temporary folder.
    • Start an upgrade launcher.
    • Delete the old version.
    • Copy the update to the original folder.
    • Rename it to match the old name.
    • Automatically launch the new version.

Note: If the YASAMM does not launch then you may have to download the update from the web site.

Step 3. Creating a new YASAMM Account

    vnetcafe login window

To create a new local YASAMM account...

    • Enter your new YASAMM Account username and password. (Do not use your Steam Account name.)
    • Click the Login Local button.
    • If you are making a new local account then you will be prompted to create it on this computer.

Step 3a. Creating a new YASAMM Account - Part II

    vnetcafe login window

If you want to create the new local YASAMM account with the selected username...

    • Click the Yes button.
The local YASAMM account will now be created with your supplied username and password.

Step 3b. Creating a new YASAMM Account - Part III

    vnetcafe random number generator

Please follow the instructions in the window. This part is a bit slow and tedious but it is essential for generating a near random value. This value is used to create your own Private Key for securing any later Peer-To-Peer communications...

    • Do NOT Click the Cancel button.
    • This dialog can also be called up from the configurations dialog.
On Completion the local YASAMM account has now been created.

Step 4. Adding Steam Accounts to your YASAMM

    vnetcafe main window

This the usual start window for the YASAMM. But in this case there are no Steam Accounts defined and the display area is empty.

    • Click the Add new toolbar button to add a new Steam Account.
    • This window will now be hidden.
    • Each toolbar button has a tooltip which will be displayed when the cursor "hovers" over it.

Step 4a. Adding Steam Accounts to your YASAMM - Part II

    vnetcafe add Steam Account window

This the usual Add Steam Account dialog. The Edit & Delete Steam Account dialogs are almost identical.

    • The Reference Name is the only mandatory field and it should describe your Steam account in a meaningful way.
    • The Steam username and password are encrypted and stored locally.
    • Only the correct username and password will decrypt them. They seem safe to me - considering they are on your PC ONLY.
    • Games may be transferred between Actual Games and Available Games by either double clicking on them or using the >> and the << buttons.
    • The Secure Data checkbox when ticked, will permanently hide your steam account information on this computer. You will be unable to view it or modify the fields. This will allow you to temporarily put your info on another PC and having it hidden from prying eyes and fingers.

Step 5. Logging into an existing YASAMM Account

    vnetcafe login window

This the usual start window for the YASAMM. At this point you may choose to login to the web site or access a local YASAMM account.

    • Enter your YASAMM Account username and password (or the name of a new one).
    • ONLY tick the "Load your web accounts ?" If you want to access advanced functions on the web site - (Note: will return an error if your YASAMM username and password aren't registered).
    • Click the Login button.
    • If you are making a new local account then you will be prompted to create it on this computer.
    • If you are registered and you click the "Login Web" button, YASAMM will download a copy of your registered account.
    • If you are registered and have borrowed a Library account, make sure you use the username and password emailed to you. Then Click the "Login Web" button and YASAMM will attempt to launch the account that you borrowed.

Step 6. Selecting and Launching a Game or Steam Account

    vnetcafe add Steam Account window

This window shows a single account has been setup and is ready to be used. The Account has been expanded to show the Steam games that are in it. At this point a number of functions are available by the usual Add Steam Account dialog. The Change & Delete Steam Account dialogs are almost identical.

    • Double clicking on the Steam Account icon will Launch Steam using that account's login information.
    • Double clicking on any game icon will launch that game using the account's login information.
    • Steam Accounts may be altered using toolbar buttons or "Right Clicking" on an Account or Game etc.
